11+ Exams

What is Included in the 11+ Exams?

English Paper: 

Comprehension: Students read passages and answer questions to test their understanding of the text.

Vocabulary: Students are tested on their knowledge of words and their meanings.

Grammar: Students are assessed on their understanding of grammar rules and their ability to use them correctly.

Maths Paper: 

Number work: Students are tested on their ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Algebra: Students are assessed on their understanding of algebraic expressions, equations, and inequalities.  

Geometry: Students are tested on their knowledge of shapes, angles, measurements, and coordinates.

Problem-solving: Students are given word problems to solve, requiring them to apply their mathematical knowledge and reasoning skills.

Verbal Reasoning: 

Analogies: Students are asked to identify relationships between words or concepts.

Coding: Students are given codes and must decode them or create new codes.

Sequences: Students are asked to identify patterns in sequences of letters, numbers, or symbols.

Non-Verbal Reasoning: 

Spatial reasoning: Students are tested on their ability to visualize and manipulate shapes and patterns.

Logical reasoning: Students are assessed on their ability to think logically and solve puzzles.

Numerical reasoning: Students are given numerical puzzles or problems to solve.
